WTF! My First Time at Anime North 2006
Experiencing my first Anime convention in Toronto wearing a t-shirt that stated "I Love Hentai" in Japanese, maybe not the best cosplay but it was certainly a start.
I received rumors that some sort of weird costume parade was taking place at the Congress Centre and at the DoubleTree hotel. So my colleagues and I decided to go to Ginko's Japanese restaurant at the hotel and see what was going on.
Nearby the hotel we noticed thousands or people dressed in Anime and superhero costumes.

I started to get really curious and actually wanted to attend the event called Anime North. After the sushi lunch I decided to check out the event the next day since it ran the entire weekend.
Unfortunately I didn't have any crazy cosplay outfit but did have a T-shirt with some Japanese writing on it, saying: "I love hentai". Some people at the convention knew what it stated on my shirt and had a blast with it.

It's awesome to see cute girls with massive guns running around the premises.
After meeting tons of people, I promised myself that I would attend the event as well next year but in an actual cosplay outfit.
For next year I decided to buy my cosplay costume from Moon Costumes and alter it accordingly. I couldn't wait till 2007.
