Absolutely The Best Beach In Toronto: Scarborough Bluffs
The Scarborough Bluffs Beach is only a 20 minutes ride from Toronto and offers an astonishing beach with cliffs similar to the Normandy coast in France.
The Bluffs has been described as a "geological wonder" and a unique feature in North America.
The beach was literally swarming with wasps, them insects. Also notable was that we could see the Pickering Nuclear Power Plant from the beach which was a little bit creepy knowing what had happened in Fukushima a few months earlier.
The Scarborough Bluffs (also known as The Bluffs) is an escarpment in the Scarborough district of Toronto. Forming much of the eastern portion of Toronto's waterfront, it is located along the shoreline of Lake Ontario.
At its highest point, the escarpment rises 65 metres (213 ft) above its foot and spans a length of 14 kilometres (8.7 mi). It was first named in 1793.
