Why My Family From Holland Loves Canada?
Niagara Falls is one of the gems of Canada and it always excites me to show family from Holland this colossal of natural beauty
The highlight of my dad's trip to Canada was by far the Niagara Falls, this time I tried Journey Behind the Falls.
By now I have tried every activity around the falls ranging from Cave of the Winds, Maid of the Mist and Journey Behind the Falls.
Journey Behind the Falls takes you by elevator to the lower levels near the base of the Niagara Falls.
You get a yellow poncho to protect you from the massive amounts of water, or you can go in your swimming trunks.
In the evening we had dinner at Kelsey's, and we were VERY dissapointed with the service and food, they even managed to spill with sourcream all over my dad's pants and dropped a bunch of nachos into my lap not much thereafter. They didn't even compensate us for their continued clumsiness.
Journey consists of an observation platform and series of tunnels near the bottom of the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian shore of the Niagara River.
The tunnels and platform can be reached by elevators from the street level entrance.
The tour is unguided and visitors have the option of using radios to receive facts and information broadcast into the tunnels.
It was a fun day but the drive back to Toronto was exhausting due to all the road construction.
