The Westin Hotel is a pretty classy hotel right across the Palais des Congres where they held the Bal-en-Blanc festival. The hotel also has a wicked pool with a glass floor where you can see cars pull up to the hotel lobby.
The second night we went to the Bell Centre and watched the NHL match Canadiens VS Maple Leafs, unfortunately we (Toronto's Maple Leafs) got beaten hard.
We also did some sightseeing of the lake front area and old Montreal. We had pizza at my favorite place; Pizzedelic across the Notre Dame.
The church's Gothic Revival architecture is among the most dramatic in the world; its interior is grand and colourful, its ceiling is coloured deep blue and decorated with golden stars, and the rest of the sanctuary is a polychrome of blues, azures, reds, purples, silver, and gold. It is filled with hundreds of intricate wooden carvings and several religious statues.
At night we party hard on Saint-Laurent's clubbing district. We also dropped by the W Hotel and Time Supper Club.
Other notable places are; Les 3 Brasseurs who serve some epic beers, Chinatown although not recommended on a cold day and Le Steak Frites across the Westin Hotel.
