Sukiyabashi Jiro was made famous in the movie: Jiro Dreams of Sushi which follows the life of the best Sushi chef in the world at his 3-Star restaurant.
The most expensive lunch I have ever had. A 15 piece sushi course at Sukiyabashi Jiro starts at 18,000 YEN (or $200) but definitely worth it.
It was such an amazing experience, that I had to order an extra piece of Ootoro, the most expensive piece of fish. The total was 21,000 YEN, quite pricey for lunch but an once in a lifetime experience.
I walked into the restaurant past lunch closing hours but the chef allowed me to still enjoy a lunch. Due to this I pretty much had a private experience.
It was difficult to photograph and record every piece, the sushi piece is put in front of you at the exact right temperature thus not a single second should be wasted on distractions.
You can now watch the entire movie on YouTube as listed above. I would recommend visiting Sukiyabashi Jiro once in your life, especially if you are big sushi lover.
