Bizarre Dutch Theater Close Act At Winter City Festival In Toronto
Award-winning Winter City Festival presents Dutch group Close Act, who flew all the way down from the Netherlands to introduce a unqiue show to the Canadian audience at Nathan Phillips Square.
Toronto’s award-winning WinterCity Festival presented by RBC returns, offering a city-wide celebration of culture, creativity and cuisine from January 30 to February 12.
This year’s programming includes the North American premiere of two unique and compelling open-air performances by Dutch group Close Act.
Well-known internationally for combining theatre, dance acrobatics and music to create large-scale street theatre spectacles, Close Act returns to Toronto after captivating audiences in 2005 with their show, Malaya.
For 2009, the company presents the under-water love story Pi-leau, which will dazzle audiences over two festival weekends starting January 30 at 7 p.m.
It was an amazing show with lots of lights and audio to captivate you in a underwater fairytale which was concluded with a fantastic fireworks show.
Afterwards I went to my buddy's birthday party and finished the night at Guvernment Nightclub.
