IJmuiden: The Dutch Life
Spending my last days with family before returning home to Canada. Nothing beats hot chocolate at a piping hot fireplace on the local beach named IJmuiderslag.
My final days in Europe were spend with my family in my hometown. Wrapping up a fantastic year of traveling the world.
My mom and I went to Dutch beach for brunch and to watch a bit of beach sailing, which is becoming increasingly popular.
My brother joined us at the Beach Inn pavilion for Dutch Erwtensoup and hot chocolate milk with brown rum and whipped cream.
The next day I enjoyed a fabulous dinner with my grandmother at Kop v/d Haven fish restaurant.
My favorite fish dish is Fruit de Mer which is a plate with assorted raw pieces of fish.
In the evening I met up with my ex-colleageas from movie theater CITY which used to be located in my sub-urb at cafe Middeloo in Driehuis.
At night we took a final family photo before my flight back to Canada the next day.
This will be my last Reformatt.com report for a while, giving you some time to catch up on all the videos I have posted recently.
