Love Sunshine in Tokyo: Cute Japanese Fashion Show
Love Sunshine is an incredible colorful Japanese fashion in the heart of Tokyo where popular Gyaru models showcase the latest fashion alongside Japanese music shows at the Shibuya AX venue during the a-nation Island festival.
During Campus Summit I learned about another big fashion show and performance event during the a-nation Island Festival which is also held in Shibuya but at a bigger venue.
It was confusing trying to find the entrance but once inside I was presented with an incredible crowd and some awesome events.
The Saturday event at Shibuya AX was called Love Sunshine and was aimed at the gyaru scene, fashion magazine enthusiasts and the Shibuya youth.
The a-nation premise existed out of an Island Stage, Shibuya AX, a world food court, hair salons and the Yoyogi National Gynasium for the main events.
The festival took place the entire week but I only attended on the Saturday.
Gyaru fashion shows at Love Sunshine were sponsored by: Spinns and Nail Chrissie but also many famous Japanese models were present.
Performances by Angry Cats, Pimm's, あっくん, 椎名ぴかりん, Da-iCE and あやまん JAPAN.
While walking around I got approached by some girls that invited me to their hair salon for a free hair restyle, can't go wrong with that.

Although Love Sunshine wasn't as good as Campus Summit it was still a good thrill with lots of good Eurobeat and Hyper Techno.
What I did enjoy was being the only Western foreigner at these events which makes the experience even more unique.
The only problem is that barely anyone speaks English so you have to come prepared.
Be sure to attend the a-nation festival during the summer in Tokyo, it will be an unique experience for any new tourist to the city.
Make sure to watch these videos of Pikarin, she was also performing at the event. The videos have a high KAWAII standard.
Pikarin (Shiina Hikari) is an upcoming popteen idol and performer, check out her blog.
