Eating Robot Ramen In Nagoya
Eating lunch at the Robot Ramen restaurant in Nagoya, a place which Toyota uses to promote robot technology to show its robots can be used for many different purposes even food preparation.
My first destination during my Japan city hop. Ever since I came to Japan I have been anxious to see the Robot Ramen Restaurant in Nagoya.
An actual robot makes you your Ramen noodles. Before leaving - I packed enough clothes and gear into two small bags to easily backpack through the country, also a lunchbox was needed before jumping on the long train ride.
Nagoya is the largest city in the Chūbu region of Japan. It is the third-largest incorporated city and the fourth most populous urban area in Japan.
Nagoya's main industry is the automotive business, as many Japanese automotive companies are based out of Nagoya, akin to how many U.S. automakers are based out of Detroit. Toyota's luxury brand Lexus is headquartered in Nagoya.
I just love browsing through all the unknown and weird foods at the train station, everything in Japan just looks so damn delicious.
I gave myself 5 hours in Nagoya to find the Robot Ramen restaurant and explore the city. The restaurant was hard to find and it took me quite some time and help from some locals to locate it.
I made some great friends in the process even though it was such a sort encounter. The inhabitants of Nagoya are fantastic and super friendly.
Nagoya is definitely on my list for my next Japan adventure and hopefully be able to explore the Nagoya nightlife.
The Robot Ramen restaurant was a serious experience, I have never had a machine make my lunch in front of my eyes. It was talking and cracking jokes, even during eating it - the robot did tricks and other random acts.
