Snowboarding in Canada: Weekend Trip to Blue Mountain, Ontario
Up north from Toronto lies Blue Mountain, one of the most popular snowboard and ski resorts in the province. My friends and I rented a cottage, drink our faces off, rode the mountain and relaxed at the Scandinave Spa.
Today I had to prove my skills I gained from Seefeld in Tirol, Austria last year. We decided to go night skiing and snowboarding at Blue Mountain.
On the way we had a stop over at the Scandinave Spa just south of Blue Mountain which is an amazing spa and has outdoor hot pools just like a Japanese onsen.
Once at the village we rented our gear and met up with our other friends from Toronto. It was great seeing all the peeps again, some I hadn't seen in years.
It was pretty busy at the ski lifts since it was a beautiful day on the mountain, it was snowing and the weather was really cozy.
After a few hours on the mountain we grabbed some food. The pulled pork sandwich was to die for.
We decided to go party at the local bars in the village. This was my first time actually experiencing this. We went to a place called Twist and had an absolute blast.
Afterwards a massive brawl broke out on the main village square and police had to come in and break up the fights.
We ended the night at our after party with lots of pizza and booze. What an incredible weekend, I cannot wait to go again.
